Cocobay Hotel : One Week January 2025 We had a wonderful stay in this fantastic place with its location with a quiet beach, a tropical environment all around, and a top hotel (in its comfort, its services, and especially by all the staff: the reception, the kitchens (excellent dishes), wonderfull room services, Wonderfull restaurant service (smile to Upul), Top managers (thanks dedicated to Buddhika). Without forgetting the precious massage from Vidula, who put my back back in place following a fall down while getting off a Bus :) The kindness, the smiles, the availability and the human exchanges that we were able to have with this Dream Team will remain engraved in our heart. We loved everything about our stay at CocoBay, and Unawatuna in general. The hotel staff are the friendliest and most welcoming people we've ever had the opportunity to meet. If we needed or requested anything, they were happy to help in an instant, and they also made a huge fuss of me on my birthday! We booked a room with a plunge pool, and it was absolutely needed in the 30 degree heat. My husband's parents booked a room with a large terrace and a sea view, which they loved too. The sea was also a pleasure to swim in from the hotel's private beach. Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning was a fantastic escape from the humidity! We arranged a trip via tuktuk into nearby Unawatuna, and the guys who drove us then looked after us all week and took us wherever we needed to go. They were brilliant fun, and also told us lots of interesting things about the area. There is lots to do in Unawatuna, but we also enjoyed a walk along the road to the small shops and surf bars on Dewata Beach. The food in the hotel restaurant is superb, so you'd be forgiven if you didn't want to eat anywhere else! I want to say a special thanks to the restaurant staff as they really were amazing, and helped to make our stay an unforgettable one. We definitely want to visit Sri Lanka again in future, and we would love to return to CocoBay. Helen, Stuart, Neil & Kim

We had just one night in the Hotel and because of that we arrived very early in the morning. Of course we didn’t expect that the room will be finish- but the staff was super friendly and arranged a room for us. The reason they told us was that we will stay just for one night and should enjoy the room as long as possible. Great! Additional: I had a surfing lesson from the lifeguard. That was super professional for an average price level. In the evening we booked the private grill diner next to the beach. That was very, very good. The quality of the meat was extraordinary. The Chef Cooker Samarajeewa and his colleague Rag presented us a lovely evening with a lot of interesting talks about Sri Lanka.

I've been to many hotels, but up to now CocoBay one of the best places! We had a room with jacuzzi and own pool. Still, the hotel's best attractions are the food and the staff! From the room cleaners to the waiters everybody is absolutely helpful and polite. If you have any special wish, they do everything to fulfill your need. Lalith and Rajman, and others were ready any time to help. The choice of the food is great, tasty Sri Lankan and Asian spicy meals, but they can organize a barbecue on the beach, where the Chef himself is grilling meat or seafood according to your choice. It was a great stay, thank you!

Location is very good, isolated beach only for hotel guests. Food and Services were out of this world, really excellent. Rooms were excellent, very big with ocean view, huge bathroom. Room boy Thusahara gave his best to have all we need in our room. One can walk on the beach and reach in 10 m several surf schools. and is 3km away from Galle Fort, Tuktuks being available in front of hotel. 25mins walk from Jungle beach (excellent secluded beach) or Peace Pagoda, worth to visit for magnificent views

beach just a few steps from your room. The hotel is calm, cozy, and peaceful—perfect for relaxation. The room is spacious, and the bathroom is even larger. Additionally, there are two friendly dogs on-site, trained to guard the beach. You will feel like home.

Stayed for 2 incredible nights here on our way back from Yala. Lovely quiet beach. The room had an amazing jacuzzi. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I mentioned my wife's birthday was coming up and they did a lovely Seafood BBQ for us. It was easy to take a Tuk Tuk to Galle or Unawatuna beach.

The staff were very friendly and accomadating. The room and view was amazing, especially at sunset.The restaurant also had great food but unfortunately I didn't realise there was a breakfast menu until my last day as it's on a separate menu. I had just assumed (my error) that breakfast was a buffet when it was a la carte.
