everything was extremely nice about this hotel. Since the beginning till the end. Personal: extremely friendly and always eager to help. I arrived much earlier before my check in, still I received all the attention from the personnel and the reception. Also, the receptionist was able to find neighbouring rooms for me and my friend, with whom we were having vacation. Breakfasts are very nicely and personally served. This is not a buffet, but a la carte. There is a nice choice of traditional local breakfast, english breakfast and a healthy breakfast with my beloved porridge. When we had an early tour the breakfast was carefully packed, so that we could have it on the way. The restaurant serves the best fish, the best lobster and the best crabs on the coast. We tried to eat out several times but were disappointed. So my honest advice to eat at the hotel. The products are super fresh and cooked perfectly well. Service, ambiente, prices, musik are not to be found anywhere else near the hotel. Room Service was done also greatly and whenever we had any question, every member of the stuff tried to help out and all was done in no time. The manager himself is always on the site and is making his best service by contacting each guest personally. Beds are very comfortable and big, there is a pillow menu and actually enough pillows even for the most demanding guests. There are both conditioner and ventilator, which is very useful in such climate. Room (room, balcony and bathroom) are very spacious and light. Upon the whole I was very happy to stay their and would definitely recommend this hotel.

We loved everything about our stay at CocoBay, and Unawatuna in general. The hotel staff are the friendliest and most welcoming people we've ever had the opportunity to meet. If we needed or requested anything, they were happy to help in an instant, and they also made a huge fuss of me on my birthday! We booked a room with a plunge pool, and it was absolutely needed in the 30 degree heat. My husband's parents booked a room with a large terrace and a sea view, which they loved too. The sea was also a pleasure to swim in from the hotel's private beach. Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning was a fantastic escape from the humidity! We arranged a trip via tuktuk into nearby Unawatuna, and the guys who drove us then looked after us all week and took us wherever we needed to go. They were brilliant fun, and also told us lots of interesting things about the area. There is lots to do in Unawatuna, but we also enjoyed a walk along the road to the small shops and surf bars on Dewata Beach. The food in the hotel restaurant is superb, so you'd be forgiven if you didn't want to eat anywhere else! I want to say a special thanks to the restaurant staff as they really were amazing, and helped to make our stay an unforgettable one. Cocobay Hotel : One Week January 2025 We had a wonderful stay in this fantastic place with its location with a quiet beach, a tropical environment all around, and a top hotel (in its comfort, its services, and especially by all the staff: the reception, the kitchens (excellent dishes), wonderfull room services, Wonderfull restaurant service (smile to Upul), Top managers (thanks dedicated to Buddhika). Without forgetting the precious massage from Vidula, who put my back back in place following a fall down while getting off a Bus :) The kindness, the smiles, the availability and the human exchanges that we were able to have with this Dream Team will remain engraved in our heart. We had a lot of trouble leaving this place and this team. Congratulations and thank you from the bottom of my heart. Phil & Jill (January 2025)

We had just one night in the Hotel and because of that we arrived very early in the morning. Of course we didn’t expect that the room will be finish- but the staff was super friendly and arranged a room for us. The reason they told us was that we will stay just for one night and should enjoy the room as long as possible. Great! Additional: I had a surfing lesson from the lifeguard. That was super professional for an average price level. In the evening we booked the private grill diner next to the beach. That was very, very good. The quality of the meat was extraordinary. The Chef Cooker Samarajeewa and his colleague Rag presented us a lovely evening with a lot of interesting talks about Sri Lanka.

I've been to many hotels, but up to now CocoBay one of the best places! We had a room with jacuzzi and own pool. Still, the hotel's best attractions are the food and the staff! From the room cleaners to the waiters everybody is absolutely helpful and polite. If you have any special wish, they do everything to fulfill your need. Lalith and Rajman, and others were ready any time to help. The choice of the food is great, tasty Sri Lankan and Asian spicy meals, but they can organize a barbecue on the beach, where the Chef himself is grilling meat or seafood according to your choice. It was a great stay, thank you!
